All PSC members are deeply concerned about our colleagues who may have suffered losses as a result of Hurricane Sandy. PSC is working with our local chapters and state and national affiliates to offer help. One way you can help is by donating to the AFT Storm Relief Fund.
AFT/NYSUT volunteers and staff will be distributing relief supplies for union members, including PSC members, at the following locations today (Saturday 11/10). Other targeted relief efforts to members will continue in the days and weeks ahead:
Rockaways 1 – Edgemere Community Center 5710 Beach Channel Drive, Queens 11am-3pm
Rockaways 2 – Goody’s Restaurant 7018 Amstel Blvd Queens 11am -3pm
Rockaways 3 – Refuge Church of Christ – 1837 Mott Avenue Queens 11am -3pm
Coney Island – MCU Park 1904 Surf Avenue Brooklyn 10am-4pm
Long Island – Long Beach Fire Department 440 Long Beach Rd 1:00pm until supplies give out
Lower Manhattan – UFT Office 52 Broadway 10am – 4pm
Staten Island – St. Margaret Mary RC Church 560 Lincoln Avenue 8:30am – dark
