This Friday: Students and Goliath

By CUNY Divest

Sorry to ruin the party folks, but we have some bad news: humankind’s primary fuel sources — oil, gas and coal — are rapidly heating up the planet. It’s a problem that demands a unified global response, and yet mainstream culture, our institutions and governments refuse to acknowledge the magnitude of the crisis. Why is this?

Join CUNY Divest on Friday, October 18th for a special screening of “Students & Goliath.” The film explores the fossil fuel divestment movement that has spread to over 300 college campuses all over the country. Fossil fuel divestment mobilizes youth in the fight to save our planet from climate change, and exposes the disturbing financial alliance between big oil and our academic institutions.
